Psalm 93*

A.1 The LORD reigneth,  he is clothed with majesty;
the LORD is clothed with strength,
wherewith he hath girded himself:
 the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old:
thou art from everlasting.

B.
3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD,

the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their waves.

A’. 4 The LORD on high is mightier
than the noise of many waters,
yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure:
holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

Note: Casper J. Labuschagne says  “The structure of the 45-word psalm is charmingly lucid and simple: a 9-word arithmetic centre (vs. 3) flanked by 18 words, which suggests that the number 9 has been used to structure the text. The numerical value of ‘established’ (45 = 5 x 9), which is apparently an important keyword, has been used to define the total number of words in the psalm” http://www.labuschagne.nl/ps093.pdf.
