Gospel of Mark*

In the Complete Books section I have added a new version of the Gospel of Mark.

I compared the proposals by John Breck with what we had.

  • In 29 pericopes the structures were the same,
  • in 21  there are significant differences,  but I have kept to the originals because I think (with some trepidation) that they are more accurate – let others judge.
  • In 9 pericopes I have modified our structures in the light of the challenge of seeing what Breck has written. Even for  these pericopes there are  some differences remaining. Usually the differences amount to the fine division of the centres.

I would be very interested to know what others think when we find significant differences. Is there one “best” structure or can there be multiple levels of architecture?
