HOSEA 3:5 – 4:5

A (3:5) Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek Yahweh their God, and David their king; and shall fear Yahweh and his goodness in the latter DAYS.

B (5:1) Hear the word of Yahweh, ye children of Israel: for Yahweh hath a controversy with THE INHABITANTS <03427>

C (5:1) OF THE LAND,

D (5:1) because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

C′ (5:2, 3) By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall THE LAND mourn,

B′ (5:3) and EVERY ONE THAT DWELLETH <03427> therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

A′ (4, 5) Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest. Therefore shalt thou fall IN THE DAY, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.

  1. Here’s another one for Hosea 3:4-4:1 which offsets the idolatry of Hosea’s day with the pure restoration of the nation in the day of Christ’s return:

    A) Children of Israel
    B) shall abide many days without
    C) king, prince
    D) sacrifice, image,
    E) ephod, teraphim
    A) Afterward shall the children of Israel
    E) return,
    D) seek Yahweh Elohim,
    C) David their king;
    B) and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
    A) Hear the word of the LORD, children of Israel
    Hosea 3:4-5 & 4:1
