A (3, 4) If thou, Yah, shouldest mark INIQUITIES, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

B (5) I wait FOR YAHWEH, my soul doth wait,

C (5) and in his word DO I HOPE.

D (6) My soul waiteth for the Lord MORE THAN THEY THAT WATCH FOR THE MORNING:

D¹ (6) I say, MORE THAN THEY THAT WATCH FOR THE MORNING.

C¹ (7) Let Israel HOPE

B¹ (7) IN YAHWEH: for with YAHWEH there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

A¹ (8) And he shall redeem Israel FROM ALL HIS INIQUITIES.
